Dollar stays firm as precious metals record mixed early-week movements

The rates come as global markets prepare for a dense slate of US economic releases expected to influence the Federal Reserve’s next policy steps.
Investors are watching bullion closely following a rebound in international prices after last week’s selling pressure.
